She has extensive experience in advising clients on a variety of business issues such as entity formation, mergers and acquisitions and employment contracts. Ms. Williams is licensed to practice law in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama.
Prior to moving to Jacksonville, Ms. Williams practiced law for three years in Atlanta, Georgia. While employed as an attorney at Greenberg Traurig, she co-authored a published CLE article entitled, Fraud and Contracts Under Georgia Law. Ms. Williams also provided pro bono legal assistance to artists and art organizations as a member of Georgia Lawyers for the Arts.
Ms. Williams received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, cum laude, in 2000 from Georgia State University in Atlanta. During her undergraduate studies, she was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and Psi Chi, The International Honor Society in Psychology. She obtained her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, graduating in the top 30% of her class. While in law school she served as a Trial Board Director, made Dean’s List and received Scholar of Merit awards in Constitutional Law, Employment Law and Civil Procedure, for achieving the highest grades in her class. Additionally, Ms. Williams worked as a law clerk for plaintiff’s law firms, throughout her entire law school career, where she was primarily responsible for performing legal research and preparing draft pleadings, legal memoranda and briefs.
